Ace Combat 8 General Purpose Blueprints

Quick Answer

Check the Online aircraft’s cap-upgrade panel. General Purpose blueprints are a separate material; inspect special-mission allowance, Ace Pass, Challenges and mailbox rewards before flying for more.

To get General Purpose Upgrade Blueprints in ACE COMBAT ONLINE, check special-mission rewards, your Ace Pass track, Challenges and the mailbox. Before flying for another reward, read the remaining allowance shown on the mode-selection screen. These golden-folder items can be required alongside a blueprint for the exact aircraft and ZOLL when raising that aircraft’s level cap.

Start by selecting the aircraft in the Online Hangar and copying its next requirement. Owning a General Purpose blueprint does not satisfy a missing F-14D, F-35C or other aircraft-specific item. The aircraft blueprint guide covers that purchase and the complete upgrade check.

Blueprint requirement planner

Copy every requirement from your current Online Hangar. This planner calculates only the material and upgrade-ZOLL gaps you enter. It does not predict drops or unlock the aircraft.

Leave unknown amounts blank. 0 means a confirmed zero. Use the exact item names and combine repeated inventory items.

This is a snapshot of your inputs. A zero gap does not confirm eligibility or make the in-game button available. Check all other conditions and the current panel.

Import a plan

Enter the counts displayed in your aircraft’s requirement panel and your inventory. Use the result to separate a blueprint shortage from a ZOLL shortage before spending. A plan for one cap increase is easier to complete than buying materials for several aircraft at once.

Keep three quantities separate: the amount required by the aircraft, the amount already owned, and any remaining special-mission reward allowance. The last is a reward counter, not an inventory balance.

The publisher confirms that both Season 1 Ace Pass tracks include blueprints. Their availability does not mean every tier awards one, or that buying the Premium track removes another material requirement.

Reported daily limit and reset

Plasmapause’s Steam guide, updated October 13, reports a shared allowance of five General Purpose blueprints per day from Emergency Sorties and Scrambles. It describes Emergency Sortie rewards of three followed by two when the allowance is still full, and an 08:00 UTC reset. In China Standard Time, that reported reset is 16:00.

Treat those as the author’s observed Online rules and verify the current mode screen. A Scramble reward can consume the shared allowance before the next Emergency Sortie. A zero remaining counter is therefore a reason to work on other displayed rewards, rather than repeat a special mission expecting another folder.

Emergency Sortie is an offer that can appear after ordinary Online play. It is not a permanently selectable farming mission. Use the Emergency Sortie guide for the offer and boss objectives.

Upgrade one aircraft without wasting ZOLL

  1. Open the target aircraft’s next cap-increase panel.
  2. Identify whether the shortage is aircraft-specific blueprints, General Purpose blueprints, ZOLL, or more than one.
  3. Check claimable rewards before purchasing aircraft-specific items.
  4. Spend on the exact variant shown by the panel and retain the ZOLL needed for the cap increase itself.
  5. Return to that aircraft and confirm every requirement before applying the upgrade.
  6. After the cap changes, keep flying that aircraft if its XP level has not yet reached the new cap.

If the button remains grey, compare the requirement and inventory side by side. Do not infer that an aircraft has reached its maximum merely because one transaction is unavailable.
